UFA Sports and European Media Holding found software and new media venture apareo Group
The Hamburg-based sports marketing company UFA Sports and the media group European Media Holding have joined forces to found a new media venture. The apareo Group, based in Munich, develops modular system solutions for the monetary valuation of digital business models in the world of sport. The first pilot partner in the project is Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
apareo’s aim is to give sports clubs and associations the opportunity to set up their
systems in such a way that results in the creation of an attractive virtual marketplace where they can tap into new sources of revenue. apareo’s range of services includes a high-quality sport ticketing system, the planning and development of websites, community and online shop solutions, and a data warehouse that works across systems and can be used for extensive CRM measures.
And apareo already has a well-known pilot partner: Bundesliga club Bayer
Leverkusen is currently implementing the systems.
“With apareo, we are able to create the conditions that enable clubs and associations to expand their number of dedicated fans, rather than expanding numbers in an anonymous crowd – and to turn these dedicated fans into paying fans,” explains Robert Müller of Vultejus, Managing Director of UFA Sports.
Maximilian Kuss, Director of European Media Holding, adds: “With UFA Sports and
EMH, apareo is making full use of its associates’ core areas of expertise. In addition, the new company also boasts an exceptional management team, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. This combination is unique in the market and guarantees customers the very best quality in terms of products and service, as well as reliability and security, at very appealing prices.”
The CEO and Co-Managing Director of apareo is Michael Hauser (45), who has
garnered over 12 years’ experience in the sport and ticketing business. “Our flexible and transparent systems, combined with a cross-system data warehouse
architecture, offer associations and clubs brand-new opportunities in personalised
customer communication. This leads to a significant improvement in terms of the
quality of customer contact and a significant increase in value creation,” says Michael Hauser.
